Pastor's Welcome

Welcome to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church! Whether you are a visitor, new to our parish, interested in becoming Catholic, seeking to return to the practice of your faith, or an active member of our parish, we are so glad you are here and spending a moment with us virtually!

We are a vibrant faith family in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. This is a home for all who seek to worship, love and serve God. We are a diverse community with people from different parts of the country and the world. We are a Christian community dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus as taught by the Roman Catholic Church through the Word, Sacrament and Service. We are committed to following Jesus.

In the gospel of Luke (4:18-19), Jesus enters the Temple in his home town of Nazareth and read from the Scroll of the Prophet Isaiah that was handed over to Him: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.” Jesus’ mission is that of liberation, healing and proclamation of God’s gift of love for humanity. At Saints Peter and Paul, we live out our baptismal vows following the example of Jesus. We have been baptized to be God’s instruments of blessing, hope and mercy in our families and the community. We are bearers of the light of Christ in a world so darkened with sin, injustice and wounds of division. Though our human weakness causes us to struggle on the path of holiness, Jesus continues to invite us with our imperfections to conversion. Jesus feeds us each day in the Eucharist so we can be strengthened to live our mission. You are welcome to join us for Mass, spend some time in prayer in our Adoration Chapel, look about at the beauty and stories of our stained glass windows, inquire about the sound education in our Parochial School. This is a house of joyful worship, prayer and fellowship for all peoples. Please call our parish office if you cannot find the information that you are seeking on our website. We will do all that we can to assist and journey with you. Welcome!

God bless you!

Prayer of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church

Our Father, you gather Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Jesus Christ your Son. Here you call us to be a prayerful community of faith, unity and love. Guide us to love one another as you have loved us by loving and serving others. Grace us with your Holy Spirit to carry out the work of the Gospel, so that we carry out your holy will and accomplish the service to which you call us. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Amen.
